This Facilitated Learning Group provides an opportunity for you to intentionally pause and reflect on who you really want to be as a health manager. The facilitation of the group will support you to think deeply about the choices you make every day in how you ‘turn up’ in your role, and how you present yourself to your consumers, colleagues and stakeholders. It is important to highlight that this program is designed to encourage self-reflection and change – we want you to think about the Health Manager that you want to be, and how you will get there! You will be asked to complete a short presentation in the last sessions of the program, to share your reflections and future direction with your cohort.

ACHSM have developed a short, self-paced online course on Professional and Social Responsibility (PSR). This course relates to competencies within the ACHSM Health Service Management Competency Framework. This online course demonstrates how and why professional and social responsibility is important for health service managers and leaders. We know that self-awareness can lead to better leadership and those who lead have social responsibilities to their organisation, the community, consumers, and funders. Self-awareness has also been linked to higher overall happiness and personal performance. In this online course, you will learn about developing your self-awareness, how you practice and make decisions ethically, the role of reflection and how you can develop resilience, which are all factors which are necessary to survive in the rapidly changing health environments where health service managers work. This assessment is a compulsory requirement of the ACHSM Certification Program.
